Coohem（コーヘン）は、ニットの世界で云う「交編(こうへん)」に由来する造語で、ニットテキスタイルという素材の持つ無限の可能性を追求するブランドとして２０１０年FALL＆WINTERよりスタートしました。

「交編(こうへん)」とはいくつもの素材を使い織物のようなテキスタイルをニットの組織で作る技術であり、異なる色や素材を組み合わせることにより新しい素材の表情や着心地を可能にします。
この世界でも希有の「交編(こうへん)」技術によるニットテキスタイルをスタンダードなデザインに落とし込んだ大人の為のリアルクローズを提案します。

日本の職人とのコラボレーションにより作りだされるニットツウィードは、糸の選定から色、柄の組み合わせ全てがオリジナルに開発され、ファンシーな柄や鮮やかなカラーリングに特徴があります。
その素材の企画開発から商品の生産までの全工程を自社ファクトリーで作り、オリジナル性の高いクオリティを実現します。


Coohem was launched in AW 2010. The pursuit of limitless potential of knit textile is the core of the brand.

The name "Coohem" issueing from a term "KOUHEN", which signifies a special technic to weave a fabric by knitting. With this technic,various textiles with a new look or fitting can be created by combining different colors and materials.
We propose wearable clothes for adults, where the knit textiles made by unique "KOUHEN" technic are adapted to basic design.

Our knit-tweeds with fancy patterns and bright colors are made in collaboration with Japanese artisans. All the process from selection of strings to combination of patterns and production of clothes are carried out in our in-house factory, which realizes significantly high quality standard.

大江　健　（オオエ　ケン）
山形県生まれ。
日本有数のニット産地である山形で幼少期を過ごし、専門学校でマーケティング、デザイン、ファブリックなどを学ぶ。セレクトショップを経て、有名ブランドを数多く手掛けるニットメーカー米富繊維株式会社に入社、ニットテキスタイルの企画開発に携わる。

長い歴史の中で独自に開発されたヴィンテージテキスタイルの数々に着目。
膨大な数の過去のアーカイヴをベースに今の時代感を吹き込み、ニットツウィードという素材の持つ無限の可能性を追求し、表現をすべく自社ブランドCoohem（コーヘン）を立ち上げる。


Director : Ken OE
Born in Yamagata prefecture. Ken was raised in Yamagata, known for its fabrication of knits. In university, he majored in marketing, design and textile. After working in multi-brand shop, Ken joined YONETOMI SENI where he participated in developing knit textiles.

Inspired by the vintage textiles originally manufactured by YONETOMI SENI, he renovates numerous archives with a modern sense into clothes which represent infinite possibilities of knit-tweeds.
